Em estilo ensaístico e sem pretensão a sistematicidade, “A tinta da melancolia – uma história cultural da tristeza” consiste em um
conjunto de textos relativamente autônomos entre si, escritos ao longo de todo um percurso de vida e que foram posteriormente
recolhidos por seu autor para integrar um único volume, que conta mais de 500 páginas na edição da Cia das Letras.
