The routes of interpretation of Hermeneutics are linked to two interpretative traditions where
Hermeneutics can be distinguished as Philology and theory of writing, and Hermetism as the
interpretation of secret texts intended to transmit knowledge only to initiates. This text explores
alchemical language and its encryption formulas, the modes of text interpretation and their
connections with symbolic hermeneutics, while explaining the relationship between image and
writing as a cognitive process and deciphering around the notion of symbol as a slippage of meaning
and the concept of hermeneutical circle as a strategy of reading, repetition, and realization.
