This article addresses one of the most innovative legacies of the German philosopher Martin
Heidegger: the hermeneutic method articulated in relation to being and that which is hidden from
itself. Understanding this method implies opening oneself up to a way of thinking that requires
abandoning the path laid out by metaphysics. Thinking involves a duality of paths, each requiring a
specific way of seeing and hearing in accordance with what the thing itself demands. Considering this
duality of paths in the context of thinking, we focus on the path that signifies being as being, which
necessitates a specific form of engagement. Remarkably, Heidegger never explicitly specifies a
method. However, he left behind allegorical texts in which he speaks of what he calls 'country paths'
or 'forest paths' (Holzwege), which allow us to glimpse the breadth of the framework of the fugitive
composition that leads the thinker on their journey. This approach implies allowing oneself to be
questioned, spoken to, and challenged by the very thing that summons us in our evocation.
