Abstract

The main aim of this study is to reflect on a Methodology Course for Online Language Teaching (DELO), through ELO (online language teaching program)  which is available on the Internet and was designed for in-service and pre-service teachers of foreign languages and of mother tongue language. We reflected on the virtual environment and on the teaching material produced by the participants of the course and based on this analysis, we attempted to learn lessons in order to improve these materials. It is important to point out that the use of the Internet and computers integrated with the teaching of a foreign language contributes towards interaction, the access to materials in the target language and the distance learning (EAD). Besides, even if the teacher does not fully master that tool, s/he needs to know the possibilities that this technology offers and to consider the positive and negative points that it will bring to her/his classes. The main theoretical basis for this research was a bibliographical review of new technologies and how to produce teaching materials.
