Focus and Scope

Serial philosophy periodical of a philosophical-academic nature with a specific scope that meets the need to publicize and expose to academic debate the growing research in phenomenology and hermeneutics that has been developing in the Research Group of Phenomenology, hermeneutics and metaphysics, at UNIOESTE, in which meets recognized national and international demands around this matter. It is, therefore, about increasing the production of knowledge at the research center that is UNIOESTE, giving it visibility and interinstitutional insertion, and promoting seminal exchange with researchers and HEIs in Brazil and abroad. Therefore, it should be noted that AORISTO - International Journal of Phenomenology, Hermeneutics and Metaphysics has an entirely different profile from other journals that exist or existed associated with the UNIOESTE Philosophy Course, which in itself justifies its relevance and reason for being.

a) Significantly expand the space for academic debate on the topics: phenomenology, philosophical hermeneutics and Metaphysics, at UNIOESTE;

b) Expand mechanisms for interinstitutional debate on the topics in question;

c) Strengthen UNIOESTE's institutional exchange with other national and international HEIs, especially those with which UNIOESTE has agreements;

d) Comply with the internationalization guidelines for academic research at postgraduate level;

e) Give greater visibility to the production of research carried out by the Postgraduate Program in Philosophy at UNIOESTE;

f) Promote greater visibility of the Phenomenology, Hermeneutics and Metaphysics research group at UNIOESTE.

Journal in electronic format, published every six months. AORISTO - International Journal of Phenomenology, Hermeneutics and Metaphysics publishes, annually, three quarterly issues, both in continuous flow. It may eventually edit special issues with thematic dossiers by decision of its editors and under the responsibility of a previously designated editor. Articles or works may be written in Portuguese, English, German, French, Italian or Spanish. The Journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific-philosophical knowledge freely available to the public provides greater democratization of knowledge.
