Disposedness like boredom, anxiety, and serenity open immediately a life situation, a horizon of experiences, opinions and desires that we are unable to determine in an objective manner. Having this idea in mind, the present essay tackles the following three questions: first it offers a brief summary of different ways of disposed world-disclosure; then it analyzes the phenomenon of boredom described in the lectures of 1929/30 Fundamental Concepts of Metaphysics; and finally, it focuses on the role of disposedness in Heidegger’s event of appropriation.
