Abstract

This research examines the interrelation between
entrepreneur profiles of managers and of their direct advisers. It is
assumed that the higher the alignment between entrepreneur
characteristics of managers and of executive secretaries, the higher the
competitive advantage of the firm. The study investigates the entrepreneur
profile of Management and Executive Secretariat students. Data were
collected through McClelland (1972)’s instrument. Results indicate that
Management and Executive Secretariat students present entrepreneur
characteristics; the assessment of each characteristic reveals nonetheless
that Secretariat students have systematically smaller indicators. Teaching
improvement opportunities are identified, mainly in Executive
Secretariat education.
