Abstract

The woman start at the market and her constant increase in the
creaton and business development has been distinguishing interest as a study case. Therefore, the object is to analyze the performance and representation of the woman as enterprising and business management in Toledo city and the characteristics of their own companies. The studied population considered the proprietary and / or managers women of companies in the commerce and industry sector registered in the database of the Toledo city hall - Paraná. The results evidence that women's entrepreneurship get distinction in the last decade, because, the most companies have less than 10 years of operation. In synthesis, the woman representation in  entrepreneurship still is not equal of the national reality, however, the woman role in economic activities in the city is in phase of consolidation and strengthening.
