Abstract

The general movement towards virtualization affects the various social media, however it did not come as a replacement of reality, but it came to facilitate and give other visions to activities. The virtual is present in several areas such as community, democracy, corporate virtual work and virtual assistance. This study aims to investigate the role of advisors in virtual executive secretaries, focusing on the current situation and prospects in the view of working professionals. To achieve the goals we performed a literature review and a field search. This has an exploratory and descriptive, qualitative connotation. The research was directed to professionals with higher education in the Executive Secretaryship acting as virtual assistants in Brazil. Data analysis revealed that the virtual work in the Executive Secretaryship represents a new form of work organization, relating to the structures’ flexibility that was traditional previously centralized, being, therefore, articulated to the breakdown of classic employment, emerging as a new opportunity of secretarial performance.
