Abstract

The importance and the growth of the agribusiness for the Brazilian economy reflect the necessity of human capital formation as strategic factor for the competitiveness. In this sense, this article tries to demonstrate how the Brazilian institutions of research and teaching are trying to offer formation and qualification opportunities for high-level professionals to administrate the agribusiness and correlated organizations. It was verified that doesn’t exist a very close bond between research groups and offer of specialization courses (like MBA’s programs). Also the offer of degree in agribusiness is, at the most, constituted by a very few qualifications on business degree in general without a larger emphasis on the multidiscipline aspects and systemic analysis which should necessarily involve the formation of the agribusiness management professionals.
