Abstract

Abstract: This study analyzes the efficacy of public policies concerning Sustainable Rural Development in the State of Paraná. It is a paperwork with descriptive and deductive orientation character, with longitudinal cut from 2010 to 2013. The data with secondary origin were collected from the State of Paraná official sites, being treated in percentage generating indicators and indexes that present how the state execute their programs related to Sustainable Rural Development. The study results reveal that Paraná’s Pluriannual Plan for 2012 to 2015 period projected a growth of 37,6% in comparison with the previous plan, while the Rural Development Programs received only 5,61% growth in the same time period. At the budget execution, the actions targeted at the sector were not totally efficient, once they did not keep pace with the global budget execution index.
