Abstract

This article presents the logistics of transports as direct agent in the development of the activities of chickens and swines’ production for Toledo City (PR), besides characterizing as the transports are involved in this process. It intended to evaluate the level of relevance of the transports for the development of the activities of chickens and swines’ production, through the measure of the involvement of the transports in the previous phases of production that precede to abates of animals. The analysis was carried through having as source information collected by public organs of the City and companies involved in the transport process. It concluded that the transports are non-separable of these productive chains, being positive its reflexes for the economy and the local development.
