Abstract

The article aims to analyze the demographic groups most vulnerable to unemployment in the city of Palmas-TO. The methodology used to obtain the calculation of probabilities of groups of people are unemployed or was binomial logistic regression. The results show that the labour market of Palmas-TO in year 2008 the level of education is very important, because the higher the education level, has less risk of being unemployed and their average incomes are higher. On the other hand, women and younger suffer discrimination because at any level of training (education), had greater likelihood of being unemployed when compared to other demographic groups.
