Will seek information from dozens of distilleries that receipt of an advisory guidelines (case study), in São Paulo, Brazil, since 1977 until 2007. The basic data will refer to the overall performance of the distillery from the period before the start of the consultancy, to then consider the gains in each of the units and the overall result of the sample. Considering the period 1977 to 2007, the initial calculation of the difference in value with the estimated actual production, showed an average gain of 8.3%. This is a significant value, which ranged between a maximum of 9.9% (year 1994) and a minimum of 6.4% (in 1983). Considering the period under review, and firms in the sample, the sum of the value of the difference between the production and obtained it would be possible if income remained unchanged over the first year of production of the distillery, resulted in accumulation of R$ 7,8 billion in additional units of production.
