Abstract

This article presents a theoretical reflection on the importance of macroeconomics to diagnose the behavior of the local economy and thus providing intervention actions in social and economic development of the territory. The site presents itself as a complex system in a macro environment, composed of diverse systems in micro environment and an integral component of a more complex system, the mega environment. Their history shapes the present, which is cloth to uncover the future stage. A method of analysis from macroeconomic variables allows, in addition to the overview, identify multipliers of direct, indirect and induced effects of microeconomic variables. Investigative raids as the Exporting Base theory and the theory of economic Base align in this direction, seeking to clarify the factors of local economic growth, which is based from the real flow of monetary and territory with its exterior, as definitor of the monetary base, the veil of economic activities. So, if maintained that the overview is, in short, a differentiated analysis method to diagnose the stage of socio-economic development of the territory, however, there is an urgent need to promote theoretical investigations and the production of primary indicators with permanent monitoring and update.
