THE BRAZILIAN NORTHEAST ON ECONOMIC CONTEXTUALLY OF COCOA COAST

Abstract

this work aims to expose succinct and objective manner the current configuration of the territory by the cocoa coast, southern coast of Bahia. With regard, for example, the State of Bahia, there is lately a large growth of the tourism sector, considering that, because of their potential cultural, historical and natural, what is occurring is a redefinition of the territorial space of Bahia through this tourism development, because it is a sector with great vocation for the generation of employment, income and social and economic development. The region which for a long time was a great exploration scenario of economic slant mainly at the time of greatest relevance of cocoa today is geared not only to the production of this fruit, but it also has a local nature promissory note and provides for the scope of tourism, since it constitutes a strong appeal to the regional growth of the cocoa coast. The municipalities of this scenario are comprehensive with data and indicators have not yet satisfactory, but today with a vision aimed mainly to ecotourism, is characterized as a scenario of beautiful beaches and a coastline with a nature promissory note to the social and economic development. The methodology of this study is based on bibliographic researches of authors who argue the proposed theme, as well as research in electronic sites. We realize that the disparities and potential of each municipality understood by the cocoa coast.
