Abstract

This articlepresents an ethnographic research conductedin the TekoháAñetete Village, Western Paraná. Seeks to demonstratethe relationshipthat the GuaraniIndians, belongingto subgroupNhandéva, establishwith the landand theterritorywhere they live. In this culture, the land, the rivers, the mountains, the forestsare not justgeographical elements, they are livingbeings, endowed withpowers andspirits. The existence ofsuch knowledgemotivatespeculiarrelations of these subjectswith the spacearound them; thesepeculiaritieswere, throughout history, ignored bycolonizingfrontsin the region.
