Abstract

In this article, we analyse the three novels which are considered as the centre of the Spanish classical picaresque: Lazarillo de Tormes (1554), Guzmán de Alfarache (1599-1604) e El Buscón (1626), emphasizing their protagonists who are anti-heroes and their reappearance in Brazilian literature in many novels from the decade of 80 in twentieth century and which consecrate and guarantee the anti-hero’s survival in fiction.
