Abstract

The art of Manoel Bueno de Brito (Nequito) merges with the surrounding world, be it the Goiás or Brazilian backlands, or whatever other great desert of inhumanity and recreates it by means of symbols and the magic of enduring words, accomplices of a lasting wait and intimacy with the word. Later, from knowledge of the world and of the poetic word, the artist penetrates the mysteries of man’s being and non-being. It is the third passage / movement / season and in its arid song the barrenness of inhumanity is consubstantiated in ‘Candeia de Canto’.
