Abstract

Although Edgar Allan Poe has become known for his stories, where there is a diving in the subconscious of the individual, the author saw the poetry as a way to exercise the heart and soul. So, this article aims at presenting an analysis of Poe’s poem - Annabel Lee, showing up the aspects of epiphany that are represented by symbolism during the poem, and which allow us to immerse in the flow of his consciousness, getting nearer to his emotions and feeling.
