Abstract

Building on the proficiency exam ProLibre 2011, the goal is to bring to the debate which would be the most difficult of the candidates in this type of evidence. In order to try to understand the reasons that many candidates were leading to a poor performance, we applied a questionnaire to a group of 20 volunteers, both deaf and hearing, test-takers this year. Based on the responses, their poor performance would have been motivated by the presence of regional signals. However, the comparison of test with the answers provided shows that the main difficulty was due to the occurrence of lexically ambiguous signals in Pounds in the formulation of questions.
