Abstract

This research has the aim of studying the polyphony in Cora Coralina's work, specially in the distinction between the childhood’s voice, assumed by Aninha, and the own author's voice, when she materializes her selfness, term used by Saturnino (2003) to describe the interior self in a Freudian perspective. For that, we will adopt the assumptions of Candido's (1989) literary critics  and Bakhtin's (1997) notions of polyphony, systematized by Ducrot (1987), looking at poetry from a dialogic perspective. To know a little bit more about Cora Coralina's life and work, we are going to draw an approximating path between her poetics and her existence, based on Saturnino's (2003) and Denófrio and Camargo’s (2006) researches, and on Britto's (2007) sociological studies
