Abstract

This work intends to present the cultural fusion which surrounds the narrative in Milton Hatoum’s novel “Dois irmãos”. Born in Amazonas, in the hart of amazon forest, and discended from lebanese imigrants, Hatoum draws up the lines of the intercultural universe recognized through evidences of lebanese and amazon marks along the textual material. The theorical support, at first, will be the concept of transculturation, for comprehending the social e cultural changings demanded from the phenomenon of merging and converging cultures, and the construction of language as a consequence of this ethnoconvergence.
