Objective: To identify, in the literature, actions to support nursing professionals involved as second victims of errors and adverse events. Method: Integrative literature review conducted in September 2023 in the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature databases, Índice Bibliográfico Español en Ciencias de la Salud and Nursing Database, available through the Virtual Health Library portal. Results: Of the 25 articles found in the primary search, seven were included. Informal support systems were found, such as dialogue between peers, family members and mentors/friends. In relation to formal support systems, the dialogue/meetings with institutional leaders and programs/plans for worker assistance stood out. Final thoughts: The support actions for the nursing involved as a second victim occur mainly through dialogue between peers and institutional leaders. It is necessary to expand the discussion and implementation of systematized support programs in health services as a way to strengthen the organizational safety culture.
