Abstract

The recognition and regulation of the profession and of the under graduation course contribute to the construction of executive secretary professional identities, specifically in this work, the future professional who, when talking about their chosen profession, can materialize imaginary formations, putting in relation the "I", the "other" and the object of discourse, which establishes identities and differences. Thus, this study aims to observe the trilingual Executive Secretary identities embodied in the future professional discourse, since it still has a professional in preparation point of view, but, at the same time, has built an image about what is a professional of trilingual Executive Secretary. To this end, seven students were interviewed at the last year of under graduation course of Trilingual Executive Secretary from the State University of Maringá. The interviews were recorded on audio file, transcribed and analyzed. Through analysis, we realized that the movement of inclusion and exclusion in these discourses is a natural feature of identity and image games. The future executive secretary often moves away from his/her identity as a professional, yet remaining in the student identity, other than through the use of third person when speaking of the professional. However, the balance of power in some places and times they try to show themselves as belonging to this class of professionals, and even try to predict the directions of his speech, which puts the focus on the presented mechanism of anticipation.
