This work seeks to study oral poetry as an act of enunciation and performance and analyzes the performance "Pelas ordens do rei que pede socorro", by the street theater group "O Buraco d'Oráculo". Methodologically, it transits between establishing an observable phenomenon, sometimes conducting data tips, and sometimes analyzing unstable aspects in social, economic and political contexts. It works on the hypothesis according to which the interchange between the body-interpreter, the body of the text, and the sonorous flesh of the word interferes with the production of meaning. It also questions the mutual involvement of these elements that alter and/or mobilize meanings and significance. This work is divided into two parts. The first features the theater group. It uses other approaches for a panoramic reading of their activities as activist artists. In this history, the presentations of works in public and open spaces as a way of sharing political and sociological issues are highlighted. In addition, a brief analysis is made of the street performance Pelas ordens do rei que pede socorro, available on video. Some of the concepts about performance and oral poetry, according to the perspectives of Paul Zumthor and Ruth Finnegan help to develop further reflections on the object.
