The Marcha das Margaridas (March of the Daisies) represents a strategic action by rural and forest women who are permanently part of the MSTTR- Union Movement of Rural Workers and Workers, an event that takes place every four years in the city of Brasília-DF. The article intends to characterize the initiative that these women took in the context of the agrarian struggle, the struggle to end discrimination and violence against rural and forest women, giving visibility to women and achievements in the public sphere. The first Marcha das Margaridas took place in 2000, and since then the movement has been organized and mobilized nationally, becoming recognized as the largest for women's action in Latin America. This study aims to analyze the March from its genesis under a historiographical aspect and observe its performance in the Brazilian political field, in the articulation between its organization and its political claims. Thus, this research also aims to characterize social activism as a protagonist, providing transformations in the lives of these women at the individual and community level. From a methodological point of view, this article is based on qualitative research of a historical, bibliographical and documentary nature, following a dialectical and critical approach, with exploratory and descriptive research procedures.
