Considerando a importância de abordar a questão da variação linguística em sala de aula, o presente artigo objetiva apresentar uma pesquisa sociolinguística realizada sobre duas coleções de Livros Didáticos de Português (LDP) do Ensino Fundamental, compondo quatro livros cada coleção. Apresentaremos os resultados obtidos mostrando como os conceitos de variação linguística e preconceito linguístico propostos pela Sociolinguística vêm aparecendo nesses materiais didáticos e de que maneira estão sendo abordados. Para a análise dos materiais selecionados, seguimos critérios estabelecidos pelo Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD), Ministério da Educação (MEC) e da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (LDB). Este trabalho se justifica pela importância de conhecermos um pouco mais a fundo os livros didáticos de língua portuguesa que estão sendo usados nas escolas por professores e alunos, além de nos possibilitar uma postura mais crítica ao selecionarmos os materiais didáticos que serão usados em sala de aula.Downloads
