Abstract

Este ensaio traz uma reflexão sobre a presença das línguas
na mídia radiofônica das cidades-gêmeas de Ponta Porã e Pedro Juan
Caballero, ao sudoeste do Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul e Departamento
de Amambay, no Paraguai, respectivamente. Contemplando uma
justificativa para o estudo dessa região de fronteira e um levantamento
préviso sobre as rádios existentes nas duas cidades, argumentamos
sobre a necessidade de considerarmos as vozes do rádio em articulação
à idéia de ambiente linguístico, observando os conflitos gerados pela
presença do outro em uma região de forte controle institucional dos
sentidos como o é a fronteira.
