VARIAÇÃO LINGUÍSTICA E O ENSINO DE LÍNGUA MATERNA: UMA ANÁLISE DE LIVROS DIDÁTICOS NA EDUCAÇÃO DE JOVENS E ADULTOS-EJA

A linguagem é um fenômeno social porque se constrói e ganha significação através de um processo de interação com o outro. Está presente em todas as atividades humanas, assumindo um caráter multiforme. A variação linguística é uma decorrência das diversas possibilidades de manifestação verbal que o sistema linguístico põe à disposição de seus falantes. Verificamos que esse tema é pouco abordado em relação ao ensino de língua materna – se abordado, ainda não é satisfatoriamente. Notamos que as escolas pouco discutem essa questão, ressaltando sempre a norma culta. Entretanto, acreditamos que cabem as mesmas contemplarem também a variação da língua. As instituições escolares devem dar ênfase a esse assunto para desmistificar a crença de que há uma única língua correta, principalmente, para alunos da EJA que apresentam características distintas. Com intuito de examinar como se dá a discussão sobre variação nas turmas da EJA a partir do material de apoio do professor, neste trabalho, analisaremos uma coleção de livros didáticos. Almejamos fornecer subsídios para o ensino/aprendizagem de língua portuguesa, bem como promover uma reflexão sobre o assunto para ressaltar que o papel da escola não é o da substituição de um modelo de linguagem por outro, mas o da adequação.Downloads
