NAS PROFUNDEZAS DA ALMA: ENSAIO SOBRE O ROMANCE DIÁRIO DO SUBSOLO, DE FIODOR DOSTOIÉVSKI
Abstract
ABSTRACT: This study focuses on the presence of the theories of Mikhail Bakhtin (1993; 2010) in the work Diário do subsolo, of Fyodor Dostoevsky, more precisely the polyphonic novel concepts, multiplicity of human consciousness, internal dialogical speech, hero self-consciousness, novel of ideas and inconclusiveness of the narrative. In addition to being exposed some confluence between the Russian novel and Memorias Póstumas de Brás Cubas, by Machado de Assis; like: the narrator`s dialogue with the reader, the narrator's reflection on his own writing and the fact that the narrator reject your readers. It is inferred that Diário do subsolo is a rich and extremely polyphonic work, reading allows reflection on our own existence.
KEYWORDS: Polyphonic novel; Russian literature; The underground man.
