ROLAND BARTHES AND THE SAUSSURIEN LINGUISTICS

In this work, we comment how Barthes reread the Saussurean concepts of analogy, sign, signified, signifier, meaning and value, particularly in the text “Saussure, the Sign, Democracy” (1973). After the discovery and dissemination of the studies on anagrams, Barthes criticized the scientific model of their semiological researches from the resumption of Saussure figure divided between sanity and madness.
