This research is about a study of the front page of the blog “Tudo sobre ana & mia: 20 mandamentos da ana/mia”, which can be easily reached over the internet by people of all ages. On these communities, one can get tips about how to become anorexic or bulimic, mostly through a list of commandments on how not to get fat or how to get skinny. Anorexia and bulimia are “diseases” that are commonly found in the teenage environment. Based on the tips found on the blog “Tudo sobre ana & mia: 20 mandamentos da ana/mia”, on how to perform the rituals of both diseases, a proposition was made to observe the spreading factor of technology for this purpose, making use of the theories of discourse analysis.
