Heroic narratives have always been present throughout the history of mankind. From the twentieth century, the comic books became support for its maintenance and with the success that its adaptations achieved in cinema opened a space to broaden the reach of this type of narrative. This article deals with this phenomenon having as reference narrative the constitution of the Batman myth having as reference the Jungian theory of archetypes. The aim of this paper is to analyze how the Bat Man myth represents, according to the adopted theory, an archetype consistent with the contemporary human condition. Presenting itself as a bibliographical analysis from BOECHAT (2008), JUNG (2002), NAGY (2017), resulting in the identification of Batman as a Jungian archetype capable of dialoguing with the existential condition of facing inner fears, reach self-possession and resilience.
