In the article presented here are exposed five approaches to the methodology of teaching Literature. It is known that Literature, since ancient times, has been a domain of interface with Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, History among other fields of knowledge. This characteristic confers on Literature a status of almost independence, but its formal belonging to the great area of Letters and Linguistics reduces it to a simple aid of the process of fixation of the language, when it is not only treated as a ludic object of "acquisition of culture". Such positions in Literature lead to a relative lack of interest in the development and improvement of teaching methods of this field of study and, trying to contribute to this area of knowledge, we present the following methods: methodology of literature teaching from literary studies; methodology of literature teaching as a process of reading and writing; methodology of literature teaching from the aesthetic and ludic dimension; methodology of literature teaching from literary genres; and methodology of literature teaching from the hermeneutic dimension. Returning these instruments to the teaching of Literature, it is intended to stimulate interest in the development of new ways that contribute to literary teaching.Downloads
