This work aims to look at the creative process of the Anthropophagic Performance Dramaturgy entitled Macunaíma - Makunaimã presented in June 2022 by Coletivo Digressão Cênica [the Scenic Digression Collective] from the Graduate Course in Language and Literature at UNIOESTE. This creation, proposed in the course Tópicos em Literatura e Dramaturgia [topics in Literature and Dramaturgy], stemmed from the study of the dramatic work of collective authorship, Makunaimã – o mito através do tempo [Makunaimã - the myth through time], published in 2019, in dialogue with the narrative Macunaíma by Mário de Andrade from 1928. Besides bringing Catherine Walsh’s contribution of critical interculturality, one of the backbones of decolonial thinking, in the analysis of the texts, we will be using Renato Cohen’s theoretical presuppositions on performance and the concepts of archive and repertoire by Diana Taylor.
