This paper that is a product of a research elaborated at Projeto Convivência, Arte & Criação, developed with children from Mata Escura neighbourhood, in Salvador-BA., has as its goals afirmate the possibilities of art education as a practical mode being able to acionate the critical thought of young people and teenagers, resulting in a reflexion about their relationships with the world and in the world. The theoretical basis to develop this work is Hanna Arendt theories, taking referencies in the importance of stimulating the action, the importance of the speech and the dialog as politic and social changes builder. Starting from the political action as a concrete possibility and from education as a way to reach the politic, the paper analises how the subjectives blocks can be desconstructed by art education and how the school can changes its social paper and start a fight for the development of a citizen conscience evaluating life and the criation of a peace culture, recongnizing the human rights, elevating the self-stem and fighting against violence and crime manifestations.
