Abstract

This article has for objective to do an abbreviation study on the movement

maneirista, the current transformations of the same in the way of to think and to act of the whole

society of the time and their reflexes in the literary field. We will also analyze the story: The

Secret Cause of Machado of Assis,onde will approach two characteristics of the maneirismo: the

aesthetic effect and the being and opinion.
