Abstract

This work has as an objective to verify as is carried out esthetically the fantastic

element in the work Pedro Páramo of Juan Rulfo. The research is found linked to the Dissertation

of master´s on-going and in that first moment set out to to reflect on theories that broach the

Fantastic in a movement literary aspect denominated by some studious ones of Magical Realism.

In this exercise is intended, above all, looking to start a tradition as time / location history, site

whence comes the Latin American narrative production. From a recreation process, Latin

American writers literalizan the past that remains current in the supernatural element to

explain/problematize social problems of the modernity.
