Abstract

In this article we point the presence of the consumption in the society
contemporary as partner of the communication and the symptoms of the citizen. It has an
increasing consumption, of information, good and drugs, leading to a consumption of the proper
subjectivity, understood as devastação of the field of the desire. The psychoanalysis is presented
in this context as a resistance form, considering the replacement of the desire in cause, to free the
citizen of the illusions and the effect of the happened massificação of this situation.
