Abstract

João Gilberto Noll’s literature is dionisiac. We feel it intensely as a creative act,
rebllious lecture. The desire of telling makes the beaty static, as we can notice in the characters’
instability and fragility and in the shape aesthetic. There’s certain strength to the narrativity which
is always eliptics, schizophrenic, lasting. Acenos e afagos (2008) is one of the more expressive novels
written by the author from Rio Grande do Sul. By analising this novel we can think the semiotic
taks of cultural sings articulation – and the sexuality is included in such whole, - as a dionisiac
homoerotism. Noll’s prose doesn’t allow we label it easily, because it discuss the tragic perception
of the narrator’s erotic experience. This fragmented article deals with symbolic features, wich are
historically symptomatic of some contemporain experiences about the relations between
literature, identity and homotext.
