POLÍTICAS "PUBLIC" AND FIELD OF EDUCATION: IN SEARCH OF CITIZENSHIP POSSIBLE?
Keywords:
Políticas públicas, Cidadania, Educação do campo, Meio rural.Abstract
We develop this reflection notes about public policy for education of the field thatbecomes effective in the post-LDB (1996-2008) in the FHC and Lula governments. We believe
that such educational policies allowed the recreation of a new political culture in the demands
from the social movements related to rural workers, and other possible concept of citizenship
which is in the process of growth. The delivery of citizenship occurred, even with the
conservative alliance of latifundia in Brazil, which has determined the end of the long dark night
which was aimed at the education field. Accordingly, we analyze the field of education as public
policy that stands out in recent years as new educational modality in the Brazilian reality, its
impact and its potential against the construction of a new society, more humane, just and
democratic.
