THE TRANSFORMATION OF KNOWLEDGE LINGUISTICS AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY XIX CENTURY AND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE NATIONAL LANGUAGE OF BRAZIL
Keywords:
transformação lingüística, gramatização da LP, língua nacional.Abstract
This work is concerned about the transformation of the linguistics knowledge in the passage of nineteenth to twentieth century. First, some languages that have been in contact with the Brazil Portuguese language, since the colonial period until the XX century are presented. These linguistics contacts have happened in different times and, together with other historical-political events help to construct the history of the Brazilian society and, to understand the process of the constitution of the Brazil’ national language. Some theoretical perspectives in relation to the Brazilian grammmarization of Portuguese Language are presented, taking as reference the theoretical positions of some authors like Orlandi (2001), Orlandi e Guimarães (2001), Mariani (2004) e Auroux (1994), for example. Some elements that were crucial for the process of Brazilian “grammarization[1]” of Portuguese are put in evidence, such as the works related to the lexicon, the grammars, the programs created to the Portuguese language teaching and the foundation of Colégio Dom Pedro II, for example.
[1] A “gramatização brasileira do Português”, expressão utilizado por Orlandi (2001), ocorre a partir do início do século XIX quando autores brasileiros começam a produzir as gramáticas e dicionários do Português do Brasil.
