Abstract

This essay intents to analyze sociologically the animalized identity of the main characters of the works Vidas Secas and Sao Bernardo, by Graciliano Ramos, by means of collecting and judging, with the help of appropriate theory, elements of each one of the texts, in order to reach conclusions that point not only to the books themselves but that be expansive, demonstrating work’s universality.
