VIAGEM AO SÃO SARUÊ: THE MEETING OF THE MEDIEVAL MYTH AND THE NORTHEAST POPULAR POETRY
Abstract
The present work aims to study the French Fabliau and the “folheto” Viagem a São Saruê, by Manuel Camilo dos Santos, as well as the aspects of the mythical land of felicity. Cocanha was composed in 13th century and the São Saruê in the 20th century, in 1956. Tracing this panorama, we looks for to evidence the meeting between the medieval and the modern literature.
