Abstract

This paper  proposes a discution about how the poet, journalist, politician and folklorist man, Amadeu Amaral, has developed a study of  identity behind analysis of some samples from  paulista´s popular poetry, were the sources from African-Brazilian culture are forgiven, giving privileges to the europeans one.
