METAMORFOSE EM "MEU TIO O IAUARETÊ"
Keywords:
Guimarães Rosa, Memória, Mito, Metamorfose.Abstract
This article aims to present a short analysis of the tale "Meu tio o Iauaretê"; it was included in the volume of Estas estórias, from Guimarães Rosa, published in 1969. For this, we observed the metamorphosis of character, recurrent element in the mythic narratives. The human-animal metamorphosis goes through the text, the “onceiro”, as white, incurs against the values of Judeo-Christian religion, as an Indian, he defends some values of the white world and, like an animal, clashes with his human nature. The conflict pervades the text, which is expressed through the monologue-dialogue, moving from word to not word. Guimarães Rosa reaches the pinnacle of his experiment with the prose.
