The present work is about the contributions the elementary school Science subject can provide to youth and adults students, helping positively in improving the quality of life and well being of those. The main objective of this research refers to the analysis of the contributions the Science subject provides to the Centro de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (CEJA) students in Caçador-SC, at 3rd and 4th cycles of Basic Education, aiming the applicability of those acquirements in their daily lives. To achieve the research objectives two questionnaires were applied to all elementary school students, at CEJA, at night shift, totaling 57 students. It can be concluded by the results that students enjoy the Science subject and that it brings many benefits to their lives, especially in their own health and body care and with the environment.Downloads
