LIVING CONDITIONS OF THE TEACHING WORKER IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF MUNICIPAL PUBLIC TEACHING OF FLORIANOPOLIS

Abstract

The objective of the work was to assess the living condition of the teaching worker in Physical Education of Municipal Public Teaching in Florianopolis/SC. All the physical education teachers of municipal system were invited, however, only 44 teachers participated in this study, answering to instruments QVT-PEF, PEVI, MBI, and a sociodemographic and professional questionnaire. For the analysis of data were used Chi-square for a single group in order to determine tendency of opinions / behaviors and to find possible associations between sociodemographic and professional and the constructs of Quality of Working Life, Burnout Syndrome and Lifestyle; and Spearman correlation was used to verify the level of correlation between dimensions / components of the constructs analyzed. All tests have adopted a significance level of 5%. The results demonstrated that dissatisfaction at work is associated with the remuneration and working conditions, they clarified, also, that teachers do not have a high risk in matters related to emotional exhaustion and professional achievement, besides that they demonstrate good preventive behavior.
