PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN INFANTILE EDUCATION IN THE CITY OF MARECHAL CÂNDIDO RONDON – PR: A CASE STUDY

Abstract

The Infantile Education (EI) is the first stage of basic education and aims at the holistic development of children from zero to six years. In this sense, the Physical Education (PE) curriculum is a vital component for the development of skills, abilities and skills of children. Thus, the objective of this study was to investigate the state which is the EF EI in the municipality of Marechal Cândido Rondon (MCR) - PR in 2011. This study is featured as a case study of a qualitative nature. Its development was divided into four stages, with the first, an interview was conducted with the Pedagogical Advisors City Department of Education, the second step was carried out systematic observation of institutions and PE classes in EI, the third stage was conducted an interview with teachers of class working with EI; fourth stage in an interview was conducted with the PE teachers who work in IE. After analyzing the data we found that there are some aspects to be improved to guarantee a quality EF EI in the municipality of MCR, mainly in relation to deficiencies in physical space, quantity and diversity of materials for specific classes. However, even with some shortcomings we believe the EF EI in the city is on track, with a view to recognizing the importance of discipline and a trained professional to work on this level.
